Right now everything is excellent! We are so thankful for what we have, what we have been through, and who we are becoming. God has blessed us in so many ways they are difficult to number.
Kez is a Miracle!
This week we had a checkup with the Oncologist at Starship. He was very surprised to see Kezia so healthy and well. In addition he described what is probably going on with the tumour.
‘As there is still some activity, there are probably still active cells, however they are probably not active malignant fast growing cells, probably they are mature cells. The tumor is going through a transition from the Neuroblastoma, to Ganglioneuroblastoma, to Ganglioneuroma. Which in effect means that as time moves on there is an increasing liklihood that Kez is in the clear. However they can not guarantee that, and there may still be some residual activity or side effects in the future. They had heard of one or two other cases like this before.’
So what he is really saying is that she is doing so well he can’t quite believe it, the fact that 14 months ago he told us that ‘its all over’ and now the complete opposite has occured.
We have a thriving, growing, healthy, vibrant, intelligent, beautiful little lady. PRAISE GOD! So after the doctors checkup we took Kez to the climbing wall at Clip’n’climb for her to get a little bit of exercise… woo hoo!
Breakthrough
We are continually calling on God for breakthrough in Kezia’s life and its great to have reach a space where we can take a breath. In addition to this weeks news about Kez we have also come into financial breakthrough by getting some very good contract work, that pays well and provides flexibility for family time.
What is this life for?
Throughout this journey I have continually questioned what life is all about, wondering what the purpose is, where the meaning is and what its really all about. What I have learnt is that there is clearly more to life than just the evolutionary drivel we learnt in school. It is clear that we are uniquely created by a loving God, created for a purpose that stretches beyond our understanding. Being created is only part of the story because God has given us a choice, this choice can take us away from God which can disrupt our purpose. God made a way for us to find him again, the gift of Christmas, the Gift of his Son who was born to save the world, to sacrifice his life for ours, for the gift of our salvation.
Life is much more than just ‘living’ its about seeking the truth, finding your purpose and living each day knowing that God has it all under control. Each day is a gift, we are all here for a greater purpose, here to change the world.
Chosen to change this world
Living a miraculous life can be challenging, it makes the difficult times unbearable, but the breakthrough so incredibly satisfying, I look forward to find out who Kez has been called to be, because nothing is impossible when you have God on your side! I belive that Kezia has been especially chosen, chosen because of who she has been created to be, chosen to have a unique journey, chosen to change the world!
I just wonder if the journey we have been on will make an impact on someone else…
Fantastic news! So pleased to hear this 🙂 And yes, I am sure that God is going to use your story to help others. Praise God!
Hello kiwi friends, just to let you know i told Kez’ story at church and told the people about “being thankful”. They were touched by your faith and a woman who has throat cancer asked for prayer.
So thanks for sharing your story with us, prayers are coming from France for you all.
