Kezia had a visit to the Paediatrician today. She was very impressed with Kezia’s progress.
- Over the last six months all her key tumor markers have been improving and staying within the normal range (slight oscillations are normal).
- All her blood and other important markers have improved. She was especially impressed that Kezia had grown 5cms (to 106.5cm) in the last six months!
- Kezia is still underweight and it would be good if she put on at least another kg (she is 15kg at the moment). She is still not eating enough food so we need to keep working on getting her to eat more (healthy food). Six months ago she was avoiding even the smell of food – now she sits down at every meal, has a poke and now regularly eats something. (Filling her pockets with marbles before weigh in is not supposed help).
Overall she was very impressed with the protocol we have designed for Kezia, and she gave us more things to tweak and try. She told us to calm down on the testing, and relax a bit as it is looking under control.
Vitamin C infusion at home yesterday went well so we have booked some time to get away – will be our first decent holiday since the beginning of 2010.
